I bet James and Philip, maybe even Mark and for sure Judas would be talking in the boat when Jesus was off by himself away from the 12 saying “Man, Jesus let’s us go hungry, yet he takes five loaves of bread and two little fish from some kid, and he feeds the masses! Wonder why he doesn’t do this every day for us, why let us go hungry?” Do you ever feel like this? “God does this for this guy, but I get nothing.” or “ He does this and I do that and this person does nothing yet God seems to bless them.” This is called, “Harden your heart”. My analogy is this; When I was younger, working on our family farm I worked with my father every day. My dad had many employees who did various jobs, work was tough at times on the farm, but for me it was really tough. My dad was harder on me than any of the employees. Why is this? Because he expected me to be better. He was preparing me for my future even though I resented it and couldn’t understand at the time. We are here to serve the Lord, God knows we are his soldiers. He is our General. We will do what he says, we will fight in the trenches for the Lord, because we know he is preparing us for the future he is preparing us for the kingdom………………… Gods Blessings are coming!
